Underwater / 100 x 80 cm
This bright underwater city with colourful thriving fish is inspired by my move to Copenhagen and Denmark. Like any of us who ever moved to a new country, these fish are adapting to the new pace of life in the salty water and trying to slow down to finally appreciate the beauty around them. Eventually, despite all the challenges that always come with change, they will be able to find a way towards happiness and enjoy that one bike ride.
From "Living in Color" collection
The "Living in Color" collection, on the one hand, gives a colourful, sincere look at moving to a new country, and on the other hand, reveals the problems an immigrant faces and how he solves them. In my paintings, I share personal stories of my friends and myself, showing how significant changes can change our values and views.
